Andrea Fort, LMT
This is My Story
I am the eldest of 5 siblings; the daughter of a US Army veteran (father) and Licensed Barber/Hair Stylist (mother). From my youth, I was inspired to achieve the unimaginable. Coming from a legacy of physicians, lawyers, teachers, government workers, etc., I knew I had some huge shoes to fill. Growing up, education was key in my household. After High School, I attended CNU, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. Shortly after college graduation, I worked in the government sector as a Public Safety Dispatcher, Administrative Assistant, and then promoted as the Position Control/Risk Management Coordinator a year later.
After being employed for 6 years in the government sector, I noticed how stressed I became and how much I neglected my health. I knew it was time for a change in careers, so I decided to take a bold step and pursue massage. I graduated from the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage in 2014, with focus on Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and Warm Stone modalities. I’m always encouraging those around me to follow their passions, regardless of the circumstances!
When it comes massage, there is no fixed blueprint or one way of helping and healing clients. Everyone is different and each person requires their own specific needs. I am proud to say that I am a Certified Massage Therapist and plan to make this a rewarding, lifelong career.
